Steve was one of the best guys i have ever known, And i for one will never forget his stories and quick wit. Nearly two months have passed since he moved on but it's not getting any easier.Steve loved to play bowls in his spare time and was in the Boston and Belmont bowls teams.Steve thought the world of his aunt Rhoda as well as the rest of his family.
My friend, i miss our nights with a beer watching billy for the umpteenth time, and our debates over who was best (City or Bolton), you won for the last few seasons but it looks like this season is gonna be mine mate, But you know city will probably let me down again. Anyway gonna go pal but i will light a candle on your birthday.
Have a whiskey put to one side. I know you are itching to finish our game of champ man and i know one day we will , till then matey take care and god bless.
there has not been a day that goes by, that I don't think about you, the pain of losing you is still very much in my heart. please be happy where you are and look down on all those who love you and all those who were privileged enough to meet you, you are safe now. i will always love you. missing you. x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x
Goodbye Mate
I was absolutely shocked and stunned when I heard the news about Steve. A (mutual) friend called me, in absolute disbelief. He was hoping that I could give him some proof that he had it all wrong and it had all been a huge mistake.... That was the day after Steve was taken. Incredible - after all, it was only days before that that we had last spoken. Some talk of getting a few of us together and going to the Reebok Stadium. It was not to be.
When I found this webpage I felt that I had to contribute.
Steve was a good guy and good company, especially over a pint talking football and nonsense - often in the same sentence! I for one will miss him.
Rest in peace mate.
Steve.
Miss You Brother xxxx
Our relationship was special,
We valued it with pride,
But i never knew how special,
Till the day you died.
I look back on the good times,
That you and i have known,
But all the funs gone out of it,
Now im doing it alone.
The photographs i look at,
Time and time again,
For that moment you are there with me,
And then that awful pain.
I'll always have the memories,
They'll go on and on,
But my life will never be the same again,
Now that you have gone.xxXXxx
Forever in our hearts, Rebecca, stevie and evan xxx

Thinking of you
I didn't know Stephen but I do remember seeing him alot for years and years just around Fleetwood. I was so shocked when I heard the news and my mum told me who it was. There are posters of Stephen up in some windows on my mum's street (Belmont Road). Just want to say I'm thinking of you and so sorry for your loss. I know what it's like to lose a child!!! Sweet dreams Stephen xxx
